How To Naturally Rid Your Body Of Parasites

Parasitic infestations in humans are in epidemic proportions. Unfortunately, most doctors are not trained in the treatment of parasites. It requires an especially terrible case of infestation before a doctor might suspect a patient’s health is suffering from parasites.

Understanding the symptoms and how to naturally remove them from your body will ensure you protect yourself from sickness and maintain a strong immune system.

Parasites are organisms which live in or on another organism (its host) and benefit by deriving nutrients at the other’s expense.

Parasites include round worms, heart worms, tape worms, pin, thread and hook worms. They vary in size from 3 feet to some being so tiny you can only see them with a microscope. Most people, particularly those with health issues, are a host to at least one type of parasite.

Parasites can linger in many places, but the most common reason for their infestation is poor hygienic practices. They can enter the body through food, drink, contact with animals or infected people, or even just skin contact, and parasite infections can last for years.

If you’ve ever consumed contaminated water or food, there’s a good chance that you could have picked up a parasite.

Undercooked meat is a very high source of parasite infections. Pork in particular is host to a number of parasites, viruses and other organisms, many of which can be directly transmitted to humans. Also, cuts of meat such as beef, lamb, chicken and fish, contain parasite eggs. Raw sushi contains eggs and larvae of several species of parasites. Cattle are meant to be dewormed by the farmers, but can you always trust that this occurs?

Some parasites can go through their entire lifecycle without affecting your daily life. Some, on the other hand, can lead to inflammation, pain, infection and disease.

Parasites can enter any system in the body, including the lungs, liver, heart, brain, spinal cord, blood, pancreas, skin, eyes, kidneys and uterus. Due to the widespread problem of parasites, it is essential that individuals with health issues undergo a parasitic cleanse at least once per year, or more if diseases are present. Even healthy people should undertake an anti-parasitic detox program annually to maintain healthy insides and prevent any parasite infections.

Some symptoms of parasites include:

  • bloating
  • cramps
  • constipation
  • diarrhoea
  • weak immune system and constantly getting sick
  • allergies
  • food cravings, particularly for processed foods
  • fatigue and brain fog
  • floaters or spots in eyes
  • toe fungus

For the best results I recommend incorporating a combination of the following points. For example, doing a colon cleanse followed by a juice fast with herbs and then maintaining a whole foods diet. If you want to cleanse a little slower you can begin taking some herbs or diatomaceous earth while continuing to eat a healthy diet.

A great way to begin cleansing parasites from your body straight away is by using herbal remedies. Wormwood, clove and black walnut are some good herbs. A clove head actually looks like the end of a parasite’s head, so I believe nature designed it that way to get us to use cloves to eliminate parasites. These work well because they kill the eggs, not just the adults. Cinnamon is a natural remedy for parasites and fungus. Take ½ tsp of a high quality cinnamon powder in water up to three times a day. Oregano oil also has high antibacterial and anti-parasitic effects.

This is a naturally occurring substance that has the ability to kill parasites and their eggs. If you decide to supplement with this, start with 1 teaspoon per day in a cup of water and work up to 1 tablespoon a day until parasite symptoms disappear. Make sure to use food grade Diatomaceous Earth! You can find a high quality product called Supercharged Food Heal Your Gut Powder at this online store.

Mucoid plaque is a combination of mucus-like material and food residue that coats the gastrointestinal tract. Yeast, parasites, and bacteria find protection in the biofilm, which helps these micro-organisms survive for a long period of time. Plaque can be the result of an unhealthy diet and a slow build up of toxins that is formed over time.

You can remove plaque by doing a juice cleanse combined with a colon cleanse like this one or by drinking a mix of water with psyllium husk powder. It may take more than one colon cleanse program to remove all of the plaque, so it’s good to do these on a periodic basis e.g. 4 times per year.

Fasting literally starves parasites because you are no longer consuming food which they will potentially feed on. Juice or water fasting are great options, depending on your situation.

It is recommended to administer enemas at home and/or get professional colon hydrotherapy to help remove parasites, toxins, plaque and unwanted waste during this period.

Pumpkin seeds, papaya seeds, turmeric, probiotics, neem, bentonite clay, activated charcoal, apple cider vinegar and pineapple are other options you can incorporate into your diet.

It’s important to note that the removal of parasites can be uncomfortable at times. The Herxheimer Reaction is an immune system reaction to the toxins that are released when large amounts of pathogens are being killed off and the body does not eliminate the toxins quickly enough. These symptoms can include headaches, flu-like symptoms, rashes, fatigue, flushes and more.

To avoid/reduce these symptoms I recommend eating a whole food, plant based diet (if you don’t already) several weeks before starting an anti-parasitic program.

You can also start with small doses of your chosen herbs, and work your way up, to avoid putting too much pressure on the elimination organs.

I made a video going into more detail about how to cope with detoxification symptoms which you can watch here.

The key to removing parasites is to consume food and herbs that facilitate a hostile environment for them, rather than a hospitable one. After cleansing the body and removing parasites, it’s important to maintain healthy lifestyle practices. This will keep your internal environment clean so you can avoid getting them again.

I recommend eating a plant based diet high in raw fruits and vegetables which contain the necessary fibre to keep your digestive tract clean. Vitamin C is particularly good for parasite control, so foods like oranges, berries, kiwi fruit, papaya and lemons are amazing.

Zinc deficiency has been linked to impaired immune response to parasitic  infections, resulting in prolonged parasite survival in the body. Pumpkin seeds, mushrooms, spinach, chard and sesame seeds are all good sources of zinc.

Avoiding alcohol, pork and processed foods will help keep your immune system strong and healthy so you can prevent parasitic infections.

Periodic colon cleansing and fasting (either on water or juices), colonic hydrotherapy, exercise and deep breathing will keep your body alkaline and help you stay focused, energised, healthy and worm-free!

It is also advised to deworm your pets. They are best treated with diatomaceous earth and pumpkin seed oil.
