Refreshing Mango Mint Smoothie

Refreshing Mango Mint Smoothie Oliviabudgen Blog

If you love mangos then you will adore this simple refreshing mango mint smoothie recipe. If you don’t love mango, well… then I feel sorry for you, because they are SO delicious and nutritious! I actually didn’t used to enjoy mango, but it wasn’t until I had a perfectly, sweet and creamy ripe one that I fell totally head over heels for them. If they aren’t in season where you live, you should still be able to find frozen ones in bags in the freezer section of your supermarket or health food store.

BENEFITS OF THE INGREDIENTS

Mango // Protects against colon, breast, leukaemia and prostate cancers, lowers cholesterol, clears the skin, promotes good eye health, improves digestion and boosts the immune system.

Banana // High in potassium, strengthens the blood, relieves anaemia, enhances your mood, helps with production of white blood cells, reduces swelling.

Ginger // Improves absorption and assimilation of nutrients, clears the microcirculatory channels, helps with nausea and inflammation.

Mint // Digestive aid, anti-cancer, helps with allergies, prevents memory loss and clears up congestion.

Spinach // Anti-inflammatory, high in antioxidants, maintains good bone health, prevents macular degeneration, helps with anaemia.

Coconut water // Extremely hydrating, reduces blood pressure, is compatible with human blood, good for digestive and urinary health.

This smoothie recipe is beautiful, creamy and refreshing. It has a bit of a kick from the ginger and the flavour of the mint combines perfectly with the other ingredients.
